Notre Dame hockey to play at Soldier Field - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

Notre Dame will play Miami of Ohio and Minnesota will meet Wisconsin in an outdoor college hockey doubleheader Feb. 17 at Soldier Field.

The Hockey City Classic will be the first outdoor game in the modern era for three of the schools - Miami, Minnesota and Notre Dame.

Chicago hosted the NHL Winter Classic on New Year's Day in 2009 when the Chicago Blackhawks played the Detroit Red Wings at Wrigley Field.
