Colts will black out games that don't sell out

INDIANAPOLIS -

Eighty-five percent isn't good enough on the field, and the Colts say that's not good enough in the stands either. It's sellout or blackout.

The NFL is allowing teams to show games on TV if they are 85 percent sold, so teams can show games if they are not totally sold out. It's their choice.

The Colts say they will require a total sellout to show all the games, according to our news-gathering partners at The Indianapolis Star.

Colts expect other teams to do the same. They would have to give additional ticket revenue to the visiting team if they televise games that are not sold out - potentially a huge loss.

There are about 2,000 tickets left.
