IMPD seeks suspect in April rape incident

INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis Metro Police are asking for the public's help as they search for a rape suspect.

In April, a 16-year-old girl walking near E. 30th Street and North Euclid Ave. was abducted at gunpoint, forced into a nearby alley and sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall, with a scar on his upper lip with crooked yellow teeth. He was driving a maroon full-size pickup truck with dark tinted windows.

If you have any information that will assist authorities, call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477(TIPS) or 800-222-8477(TIPS). You can also text "INDYCS" plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES).

Anonymous tips may also be submitted at www.CrimeTips.org. You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000 if the information leads to a felony arrest. Only tips submitted directly and anonymously to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards.
