FISHERS -

Fishers Police say two men arrested for burglarizing houses in Fishers Tuesday may be connected to three other crimes earlier this month.

Detectives say John Maryfield Jr. and his cousin Derrick Maryfield were stealing jewelry. The men face multiple felony counts of burglary and theft.

A resident called police Tuesday afternoon saying a home was being burglarized near 141st and Cumberland Road.

Officers caught the suspects in a turquoise car. Police say they burglarized two homes Tuesday, tried to get into a third house and are connected to three other home burglaries in Fishers earlier this month.

Detectives say the suspects would knock on the door during the day. If no one answered, they would kick in the front door, steal jewelry and sell it for cash.

Police found two jewelry boxes in the suspects' car Tuesday.

The suspects are being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
