Indiana Tech raises $29 million during campaign

Posted: Updated:
FORT WAYNE -

Indiana Tech has raised $29 million during a five-year fundraising campaign that ended June 30.

The private university based in Fort Wayne says the money will endow 18 new scholarship funds, help build or renovate labs, pay for a geothermal heating and cooling system that functions as a living laboratory for engineering students, and support other campus improvements.

President Arthur Snyder called the campaign a tremendous achievement considering the economic climate. The original goal was to try to raise $19 million, but that goal was increased to $25 million when the original goal was met in less than three years.

Indiana Tech has branches in Elkhart, Fishers, Greenwood, Huntington, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, Kendallville, Mishawaka, Munster, Plainfield, Warsaw and Kentucky.
