A two-year-old girl is expected to recover after a near drowning incident at a Fishers subdivision pool Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at around 1:30 pm Tuesday. Fishers Police and Fire crews were called to the scene in the Meadow Brook Village subdivision after the girl, who is two and a half, fell into the swimming pool unnoticed. It's estimated that she was under water for around a minute before a bystander spotted her and pulled her out.

Another bystander performed CPR until the girl began breathing on her own again. She was taken to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. The toddler's mother was on scene at the time of the call.

Fishers Fire and Emergency Services reminds never to allow children to swim unsupervised in any body of water and recommends wearing a lifejacket when swimming or boating.
