Building demolished after wall collapses

INDIANANPOLIS -

An abandoned church in Indianapolis had to be torn down Sunday after it started to collapse.

The president of nearby Craig Funeral Home told firefighters he heard a noise outside and saw bricks falling from the building, then the south wall collapsed.

Indianapolis Code Enforcement issued an emergency demolition order for the church in the 3400 block of North College Avenue.

All the walls were compromised so the whole thing had to come down.
