Frank Ocean opens up about sexuality

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Frank Ocean admits his first love was a man. Ocean writes on his Tumblr page he fell in love with a friend at the age of 19.

He confessed his feelings, but the friend did not feel the same way, although he did years later.

Ocean is probably best known for the song "Novacane" and for his part in the hip-hop collective Odd Future, led by Tyler the Creator. Tyler, who has been criticized for anti-gay lyrics, gives his support in a series of profanity-laced tweets.

Tyler says Ocean's news is difficult to acknowledge but he's proud of him.
