WESTFIELD -

A gas main break closed a busy Westfield Street Wednesday.

Westfield Fire Department spokesman John Barrett says the leak, reported about 5:00 pm Wednesday at US31 and Greyhound Pass, initially disrupted traffic on the busy highway.

Barrett says Greyhound Pass reopened after 9:00 pm when the leak was stopped.

Utility crews remain on the scene.
