CLOVERDALE -

A 15-year-old Indianapolis boy suffered serious lacerations after being struck by a boat's motor propeller Tuesday. The boy was flown by LifeLine helicopter to Methodist Hospital for treatment to his abdomen.

Indiana Conservation officers are investigating the incident, which happened Tuesday afternoon on Cataract Lake in Cloverdale.

According to the report, a 12-year-old boy was operating the boat while two 15-year-olds were on an inner tube being pulled by the boat. The boat suddenly turned towards them and they jumped from the inner tube to avoid being struck, but one of the boys was injured.
