INDIANAPOLIS -
Indianapolis is one of the few cities still hosting a public fireworks display on July 4. Freedom Blast will take place Wednesday night downtown.

The show normally draws 200,000 to watch, but even more people are expected this year because of all of the burn and fireworks bans in place in Indianapolis and neighboring communities. It's unclear how many more people might come downtown, but organizers and area businesses are preparing for a large crowd.

Crews have been spending the past several days preparing for the display.
"As for parking, we generally recommend you enter the city from the side of the city you plan to hang out in and watch the fireworks from where you don't have to walk far to get to your destination," said Taylor Newell of Indianapolis Downtown Inc. "The best places to see are probably right at the War Memorial. I think that's where most of the people will be watching from."
Sites along the Downtown Canal like the Indiana History Center and Creations Café offer good views, as well.
Families can make a day downtown, with free admission at the Eiteljorg Museum in White River State Park.
The Indianapolis Zoo and Children Museum are open, as well.
