Shooting's bullets hit Indianapolis fire station

INDIANAPOLIS -

Officials say bullets went through two windows at an Indianapolis fire station across the street from a deadly shooting over the weekend.

No one inside the fire station was hurt from the shooting late Saturday north of the city's downtown near 30th and Capital. That's not far from the Children's Museum.

Police say a 21-year-old man was killed and a 19-year-old man suffered a leg wound in the shooting and that investigators believed the shots were fired from a passing car.

Firefighters heard the gunshots and gave immediate medical care to the injured men.

Fire Lt. Larry Tracy says one bullet entered through a stairway window and another went through a window into the station's training room. He says no firefighters were in those areas at the time.
