Man shot to death outside fire station

INDIANAPOLIS -

Metro Police are investigating a double shooting that killed one man just outside an Indianapolis Fire Station.

Firefighters heard shots fired around midnight outside Station 14 at the corner of 30th Street and Capitol Avenue. When they went outside they found two men shot.

One of the victims, 21-year-old Tavein Brashear of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, 19-year-old Jarrett Hall of Indianapolis suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He is at Wishard Hospital in good condition.

The shooting damaged the fire station. Bullets shattered windows and left several bullet holes, but no one inside the station was injured.
