INDIANAPOLIS -

Storm damage across Indiana has left more than 125,000 utility customers without electricity to run air conditioners while temperatures climb toward forecast highs in the 90s.

Indiana Michigan Power Co. reports more than 100,000 customers had no service Saturday afternoon, many of them in the Fort Wayne area where utility spokesman David Mayne says service might not be restored until Wednesday night. He says work crews from as far away as Oklahoma were headed to its northern and eastern Indiana territory to help restore service.

Northern Indiana Public Service Co. says it had 10,000 customers without service Saturday afternoon.

The National Weather Service says high temperatures across most of the state are forecast to reach the lower 90s or higher through Wednesday.

Thunderstorms rumbled across Indiana Friday afternoon.
