Man dies on Indianapolis east side after being shot

INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis Metro Police detectives are investigating a shooting death on the city's east side.

It happened in the 2800 block of Brookside Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man lying in front of a residence. He was suffering from gunshot wounds, and medics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The victim was later identified as Reginald Crowe, 48, of Indianapolis.

Witnesses told investigators they heard shots fired and saw possibly at Chevy Impala or some kind of gray or light colored vehicle leave the area. They told police the car was occupied by three men who left westbound on Brookside Avenue.
