A 14-year-old girl will be charged as a juvenile after causing a car crash which critically hurt three teen passengers.

Court documents indicate the girl will be released into her mother's custody. Another hearing was set for July 20th.

It happened two weeks ago in the 800 block of South Mickley, near west Washington.

The teen is accused of driving a car illegally and speeding. Witnesses say the car was going 60 to 70 miles per hour when it left the road and slammed into a tree.

Rescuers say none of the teens were wearing seat belts.
