Brownsburg asks residents to continue conserving water

Posted: Updated:
BROWNSBURG -

The Town of Brownsburg is extending its request for customers to conserve water resources due to the high heat and extended lack of rain. Customers are being asked to voluntarily stop or reduce lawn watering to every other day to help spread out the demand for water and reduces stress on the system.

Increased water demand can leave some customers experiencing periods of low water pressure. Cutting lawn-watering activities will help the water utility maintain adequate pressure for customers and for essential firefighting activities. The Town is also asking customers to conserve water in other daily activities such as washing dishes or clothes, or bathing and brushing teeth. The Town will reevaluate this request to cut lawn watering activities next Monday.
