SELMA -

Authorities say a 51-year-old woman died when the golf cart she was in crashed and flipped over in an eastern Indiana creek.

Delaware County police say 51-year-old Gaynelle Moore of Muncie and a man were in the golf cart driving across a grassy field about 1 a.m. Sunday in a rural area near the town of Selma when it went down an embankment into the creek.

Police Cpl. Nancy Marvin tells The Star Press that Moore was trapped in the water in the area a few miles east of Muncie while the man wasn't injured.

Marvin says both people tested positive for alcohol.
