SOUTH BEND -

Some Model A Ford owners are planning to make stops at historical landmarks in South Bend as part of a summer tour across the country.

The South Bend Tribune reports about 40 Model A vehicles are expected to be at the Studebaker National Museum for a celebratory reception in the city on Tuesday. The visit marks the final stop of the Model A Times 2012 Summer Tour, cross-country driving tour that began in Reno, Nev., and lasting several weeks.

Lew Palmer, a member of the Hoosier "A'' Ford Club, says it will be a unique event for the city.

The vehicles were built from 1928 to 1931.
