The Speedway Police Department wants to identify a man wanted in connection with a homicide at a gas station last Friday.

Police released the image which was taken as the man went into Tremors night club earlier that night.

Thirty-year-old Tommy Thompson was shot inside a pickup truck at the Speedway gas station at West 10th Street and North Lynhurst Drive in the early morning hours of June 15, 2012. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told Eyewitness News that they stopped to get gas when somebody opened fire on her cousin's truck. The driver of the truck, described as the victim's cousin, was not hurt.

The witness said they were in separate vehicles when the shooting happened.  She said the group had been at Tremors nightclub near Rockville Road and Lynhurst, driven north, and stopped to get gas.

Anyone with information pertaining to the man pictured or the crime is asked to contact the Speedway Police Department at (317) 246-4343 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-8477.
