ZIONSVILLE -

Zionsville Police have identified a man found dead Wednesday on the southern outskirts of Creekside Park.

The Boone County coroner determined that Todd Ryan Terew died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His death has been ruled a suicide and his family members have been notified.

Terew was last seen on Thursday, June 14, leaving his residence on West Poplar Street heading towards downtown Zionsville. He left personal items at home and was not seen since. A family member filed a missing persons report the following Saturday.

The Zionsville Police Department conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area over the past four days. On Wednesday with the help of Indiana Homeland Security using canines from Camp Atterbury, they found Terew's body.

Zionsville Police Department, Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Boone County Coroner's Office, Zionsville Fire Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Canine Team assisted in the search and recovery.
