Woman injured in near east side Indianapolis crash

INDIANAPOLIS -

A woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash near downtown Indianapolis Monday afternoon.

It happened at College Ave. and New York Street at around 12:45 pm.

When Indianapolis firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a female driver trapped in her Chrysler Town and Country mini van. They had her free within about 15 minutes. She was taken to Methodist Hospital for evaluation.

The other two drivers involved in the crash were not injured. They signed releases and did not go to the hospital.
