Metro homicide detectives are investigating an overnight shooting on the near south side that left one man dead.
IMPD and medics responded the to 1600 block of Iowa Street shortly after 12:30 Monday morning and found a man shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police have not released his identity pending notification of family.
