Concert to help tornado victims

INDIANAPOLIS -

A benefit concert was held Saturday on the west side of Indianapolis for Henryville tornado victims. Ten bands performed at Ben Davis High School.

Proceeds from the Concert of Hope will go to help victims of the March 2nd tornadoes that struck southern Indiana.

Firefighters from Wayne Township and surrounding departments organized the event to help the hundreds of people still in need.

"That's very instinctive to us, we find a need and we go and we try to solve that need. That's what we do on a daily basis in a firehouse, so this kind of plays into that, people are in need and we want to do what we can to help them out," explained event organizer Jeff Owens.

The event raised $20,000 all of which will be donated to tornado victims.
