Just after 2:40 AM, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department received a report that someone in a car had been shot at the intersection of W. 38th St. and Georgetown Rd.

When officers arrived, they found a green Ford with two men suffering from gunshot wounds.   EMS crews arrived and pronounced one victim dead, and a second victim was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Homicide investigators and the Marion County Coroner's office are attempting to identify both victims and notify their families.

Investigators believe the victims may have been leaving a nearby nightclub just prior to the shooting.
