WASHINGTON -

Metallica are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer of a Virginia Tech student who disappeared after attending one of their concerts in October 2009.

Singer James Hetfield says in a new public service announcement that any information, no matter how small, cold be the crucial piece that solves the case.

Morgan Harrington's remains were found three months after the concert in Charlottesville, Virginia. The FBI says the suspect has been linked through DNA to a 2005 sexual assault case.
