Chicago begin tour, album process

HONOLULU -

Chicago will not only be hitting the road today for their summer tour, but they will be working on a new album in their down time.

Singer-keyboardist Robert Lamm says they're bringing a portable studio with them that they will set up in their bus or in a hotel conference room. Lamm says the technology has advanced that Chicago can create a great sound wherever they are.

As for the concerts, Lamm says the key to summer shows is staying dry and avoiding bugs. He says he sometimes when he's singing, bugs fly in his mouth, or as he calls them, "protein on the wing."
