INDIANAPOLIS -

Police say several people have been shot, two fatally, at an apartment complex on the northeast side.

Four people have been shot, plus the suspected gunman, at the Villa Paree Apartments in the 6100 block of Allisonville Road. Police tell Eyewitness News multiple shots were fired at the leasing office. Police say the suspect shot himself after he was confronted by police.

A female shooting victim and the gunman have died of their injuries. The other victims are reported to be in critical condition.

Three females and a man are among the victims. The shooter is also reportedly male.

Two people were found shot in the pool house of the apartment complex, one was found on a balcony overlooking the pool area and one in a maintenance building. Another victim was found in a parking lot several yards away.

Mark Taylor came to the scene after hearing his sister was shot.

"She got shot twice. In the arm and in the side. She don't know who he was. I don't know who he was," said Taylor.

Taylor was still in disbelief that something like this would happen to his sister, who lives in an upstairs apartment, a few hundred feet from the leasing office.

"She don't bother nobody. She don't bother nobody at all," he said.

The victims have been transported to Wishard and Methodist hospitals. The suspect was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Taylor told Eyewitness News his sister left for the hospital in good condition, but she was worried about her dog, who ran off in the confusion.
