Slash says single is not representative of entire album

LONDON -

You may have heard the first single, "You're a Lie," from the new Slash album, "Apocalyptic Love," but Slash says don't assume that's how the entire album sounds.

He says none of the songs sound alike, but he acknowledges "You're a Lie" is a good indication of the tone of the record.

Slash says he's stubborn about making music and prefers to make albums instead of singles. He says he's never subscribed to the idea of making a few singles and considering the rest of the album tracks an exercise.

"Apocalyptic Love" is out now.
