Pacers tap "gold swagger" to stave off elimination

INDIANAPOLIS -

The Indiana Pacers need a win tonight in Game 6 of their NBA Playoff series against the Miami Heat, or they will go home for the summer.

Miami will take on the Pacers without three players - including forward Udonis Haslem who was suspended by the NBA for fouls in Game 5.

Haslem committed a flagrant foul against Indiana's Tyler Hansbrough during the second quarter of Game 5 on Tuesday night and will sit out Thursday's game when the Heat takes its 3-2 series lead into Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Miami will also play without reserve forward Dexter Pittman, whe was suspended three games for his flagrant foul against Indiana's Lance Stephenson late in Game 5. Pittman has played only six minutes in the playoffs.

Chris Bosh is sitting out Game 6 because of an abdominal strain suffered in the first game of the series.

Once again, Maingate will crank out 20,000 t-shirts Thursday morning so fans can wear the Thursday night.

This marks the second week in a row the Pacers have had special "gold swagger" shirts made for fans. Like last week, the Pace Mates will help out. All part of getting the fan base fired up ahead of tonight's game.

Bankers Life Fieldhouse was a sea of gold last week.  Of course fan support is helpful, and may be critical in getting the team to push the series to a seventh game.

A pep rally is scheduled tonight before the game from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. right outside Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
