INDIANAPOLIS -

Police are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect in a shooting that left a man in critical condition earlier this month.

Investigators say 18-year-old George Dennis Williams is wanted for the May 9 burglary and shooting of a 43-year-old man inside his home on North Grant Avenue. The man was found by police in his living room with a gunshot wound to the back. He was taken to Methodist Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police determined the man was shot during a burglary and have identified Williams as a suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest for attempted murder, burglary, criminal confinement, theft - receiving stolen property and carrying a handgun without a permit.

Williams is described as a white male standing 5'8" tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown/hazel eyes. Police say he is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Detectives urge anyone that may have information about the location of Williams to call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS or the IMPD homicide office at (317) 327-3475.
