Pacers rolling into Game 4

INDIANAPOLIS -

The Pacers came home to beat the Heat again Thursday night, taking a two-games-to-one lead in their best-of-seven NBA Playoff series against the Miami Heat.

To get everyone excited about Sunday's fourth game of NBA Eastern Conference semifinals, there's a pep rally this afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Kroger in Nora on east 86th Street.  Former Pacers player Rick Smits, the Pacemates and mascot Boomer will be there to greet fans.

The Pacers aren't taking Thursday's victory for granted, and realize there's still a lot of work to do. "We worked hard to get to this point," said center Roy Hibbert following Indiana's 94-75 win. "And to have the fans come out and support us, and to win the way we did, in the fashion that we did, it's great for us and for Indiana."

Players say the fans, who are once again selling out the Fieldhouse, have helped them persevere.  This team and how they're playing is generating huge excitement. It's a style that's become very popular.

Pacers fan Dan Boots likes the foundation of this Pacers team, "I love the young players. I love the team concept that they have - no superstars but all one big team and that's what I like."

Other Pacer fans are hoping what you saw last night on the hardwood will repeat itself Sunday afternoon.

The Pacers host the Heat in Game 4 of the series at 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
