INDIANAPOLIS -
The Indiana Pacers have home court advantage tonight against the Miami Heat, and preparations for the big game are already underway.
When fans arrive for tonight's game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m., they will find a special t-shirt placed in each chair: that's 20,000 t-shirts.
Maingate started printing shirts on Wednesday. They are running all six of their machines to get this very large job finished in time. The idea is to make Bankers Life Fieldhouse a "gold-out", with all the fans wearing their gold shirts to support the team.
Pacers officials tell us that tickets, in pairs or greater, are sold out for Games 3 and 4. There are one hundred single seat tickets are available for each game through the Pacers website, Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office, and Ticketmaster. A limited number of Club Level Suites are also available which accommodate up to 20 guests and a very limited number of tickets being held for NBA Playoff requirements may be released late afternoon if not utilized by the league.
The Pacers defeated the Heat in game 2 in Miami, so the next two games are at home, and the Pacers organization and the city need to really capitalize on this advantage.
A Pacers Playoffs Pep Rally will be held for fans Friday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Kroger in Nora.
The rally will feature local band Dave & Rae, Pacers legends Rik Smits and Don Buse, the Pacemates, Boomer, the Pacers Fan Van and giveaways.
