Bobby Brown: the healing process

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Bobby Brown says he's trying to heal himself through his music. And it's been a long healing process, seeing that it has taken him 14 years between this album and his last one.

The new album is called "Masterpiece" - and he says the music focuses on what he says he has "been through throughout my life."

Brown became popular as a star with New Edition and later went solo. But drug abuse led to his musical downfall - and his rocky marriage to Whitney Houston didn't help his image, either.
