Federal prosecutors in Indianapolis say a former FBI agent has been arrested on child pornography charges.
The U.S. attorney's office says 54-year-old Donald Sachtleben being held pending a detention hearing Thursday. A criminal complaint unsealed Monday charges Sachtleben with possessing and distributing child pornography.
Investigators allegedly found about 30 images and video files on the Carmel man's computer. If convicted, Sachtleben could face up to 30 years in prison on the two charges.
His attorney, Kathleen Sweeney, says a not guilty plea was entered Monday for Sachtleben. She says he had a distinguished career and there never has any suggestion of inappropriate behavior. She said he was involved in the Oklahoma City bombing Unabomber investigations.
He is a visiting professor at Oklahoma State University.
