FORT WAYNE -

Formal charges have been filed against a Fort Wayne man accused of driving three blocks with four children strapped to the hood of his car while he was intoxicated.

Aaron Stefanski faces four misdemeanor counts of criminal recklessness, three felony counts of neglect of a dependent, a felony count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The Journal Gazette reported Saturday that the 29-year-old man also has been cited for four child restraint violations and for driving without insurance.

The mother of the other child, 29-year-old Jessica Clark of Fort Wayne, is charged with felony neglect of a dependent.

The two remained in custody Saturday at the Allen County Jail. It wasn't clear whether either has an attorney.
