Several Indiana high schools rank high on national list

Posted: Updated:

Several central Indiana high schools are ranked high on a list of the best in the state and in the country.

US News and World Report evaluated nearly 22,000 public high schools in America.

The schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on proficiency standards in their state and how well they prepare students for college.

Signature School in Evansville was the only Indiana school to rank in the top 50 in the nation. It is number 35 and got a gold medal. The only other Indiana school to get a gold medal was West Lafayette Junior Senior High.
