Survey finds support for return to one-class basketball

Posted: Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS -

A new survey is out about bringing back a one-class high school basketball tournament to Indiana.

A phone survey by Indiana Family Action asked Hoosiers if they would support the change. Nearly 49 percent said yes, while 32 percent said they are in favor of the current, four-class format.

State Sen. Mike Delph is working to bring back the one-class system, along with IHSAA Commissioner Bobby Cox. They are holding town halls across the state to gauge Hoosier support.

There's a meeting Thursday night in Marion.
