Mystikal: performs before returning to jail

Posted: Updated:
NEW ORLEANS -

"Eighty-one days and I will be back." With those words, Mystikal said farewell to his fans before his pending return to jail.

The rapper performed this past Friday at the New Orleans Jazz Festival - his last performance before he goes back to spend 81 days behind bars on a probation violation.

Mystikal had gotten out of prison in 2010 after serving six years for sexual battery and extortion. He has to go back on May 14, as a result of his February arrest on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

Mystikal referred his legal issues during his performance. He said while he was "going through some things, but it's gonna be all right." He also advised his fame fans: "Fellas, if you get into it with your girl, just walk away." As for himself from now on? Mystikal said: "Me? I'm gonna run."
