The Colts' new quarterback says he's not worried about comparisons.

Colts owner Jim Irsay introduced Andrew Luck at a press conference Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

On the question of following in Peyton Manning's footsteps, Luck said, "Big shoes may be an understatement. What he did is obviously legendary, for this city, for this state, really."

But Luck doesn't plan on making constant comparisons to Manning, even though fans are likely to.

"If I woke up every morning trying to compare myself to Peyton, I'd go crazy. It's nigh impossible. I realize that so I'm gonna go out there and do the best I can. I'll put my best foot forward and if one day I can be mentioned alongside Peyton in quarterback lore, it'd be a dream come true. But until then, I'll try to do my best and not get worried about the comparisons."

Luck is eager to get started. "There's such a great history of winning. It's great to be a part of that now and try to keep that level of consistent winning. I know I'll work my butt off to try and make sure the team is in a position to win as many games as it can and I can't wait to get with the guys and really start forging that path."
