The Rev. Jesse Jackson will speak at the annual Gary Chamber of Commerce meeting next month about the need for viable businesses in urban areas.
The Times of Munster reports the former presidential candidate also will talk about avenues for successful businesses and barriers to business.
Jackson will speak during a luncheon at the Moraine Center at the Indiana University Northwest campus in Gary on May 14.
The annual meeting officially serves as the venue to install new chamber officers and the board of directors.
