'Minor incident' reported on runway at Fishers Metro Airport

Fishers Police say there's been a "minor incident" on the runway at Metro Airport.

The nose gear collapsed on a small aircraft during landing.

No injuries were reported, but the Fishers Fire Department is asking drivers to avoid the area. The airport is off Willow View Road north of 96th Street and just east of Allisonville Road.

Chopper 13 is en route to the scene.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport is a public airport located two miles southwest of Fishers. It's owned by the Indianapolis Airport Authority and serves as a reliever airport for Indianapolis International Airport.
