IU relishing NCAA Tournament

Posted: Updated:
PORTLAND, OR -

The Indiana University Hoosiers are in the NCAA tournament for the first time in four years, and players are excited.

Tom Crean's crew landed in Portland Monday. He says he brought them out early so they could adapt to the elements. In contrast with Indiana's warm, sunny weather, it's around 40 degrees and raining in Portland Wednesday.

The team spent Tuesday practicing. They also saw the movie Act of Valor, an action film about an elite team of Navy SEALs on a covert mission to retrieve a kidnapped CIA operative. Crean says his players are pumped up after watching the movie.

The team practiced at an undisclosed location Wednesday morning. The Hoosiers play New Mexico State Thursday night.

Watch Eyewitness Sports at 5:50 pm to see an interview with Coach Crean.
