Ft. Wayne Concordia are the new Class 3A state champions after a 42-39 win over Mt. Vernon.
Lauren Marinko led the Cadets with six-of-six shooting from the line Saturday night. She finished with 17 points.
Courtney Smith had nine points and seven rebounds and Breanne Smith scored eight points for Ft. Wayne Concordia.
Jessica Brown scored 17 points and Erica Moore scored nine to lead Mt. Vernon.
Neither team led by more than five points in a game that saw 16 turnovers from the Cadets and 31 percent shooting by the Marauders.
Mt. Vernon's 39 points just topped the record-low 37 in Class 3A tournament history.
