HAMILTON COUNTY -
Several crashes in Hamilton County were being attributed to weather Friday night.
Sheriff's dispatchers reported a crash on US 31 north of 246th Street that resulted in injuries. Several other slide-offs and minor crashes are being investigated along US 31 between 236th Street and 256th Street in Hamilton County.
At about the same time, police also investigated a crash on a bridge in the 24400 block of North SR 19 near Cicero. One person suffered minor injuries in that incident.
I-69 closed due to crash
INDOT reported the southbound lanes of Interstate 69 were closed due to a crash.
The crash was reported at the 58.5 mile marker, which is just south of the Gas City exit in north central Indiana. State police confirmed the crash resulted from a truck losing control on an icy bridge.
Many bridges in the area are described as icy, police say.
