Conn. university offers competition for free tuition

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -

Four years of tuition at a Connecticut university's business school? About $120,000. A chance to get it free? Priceless.

The dean of the University of New Haven's business school is issuing a challenge to its incoming freshmen: Bowl me over with your entrepreneurial idea and win free tuition for your undergraduate degree.

Larry Flanagan is a former MasterCard executive responsible for its "Priceless" advertising campaign. He joined UNH last June as the business school's dean.

He says he hopes the unorthodox challenge will draw creative and ambitious students to the small school's growing program and help it carve out a niche in higher education as a hub of innovative business education.
