Randy Davis scored a career-best 19 points Saturday to help Ball State snap a seven-game losing streak with a 71-62 victory over Southern Illinois.

Tyrae Robinson added 14 points, Jesse Berry 13 and Jarrod Jones 10 for the Cardinals (13-12), who used the BracketBusters victory to improve to 10-0 when scoring at least 70 points.

The Salukis (8-20) got a career-high 26 points and 11 rebounds from Mamadou Seck but could not avoid their fourth consecutive loss. Kendal Brown-Surles scored 12 points, all on 3-pointers, and Dantiel Daniels added 11.

The Cardinals turned the game in their favor with a 17-0 run that featured two 3-pointers by Davis. After Southern Illinois' Treg Setty scored, Ball State ran off the next seven points for a 32-16 lead with 2:49 left in the first half.

Southern Illinois matched the school record for losses in a season.
