President Barack Obama is content to be a one hit wonder when it comes to music. Obama was joined by Al Green at a Democratic fundraiser Thursday night in San Francisco. The appearance came a month after the president launched into an impromptu version of Green's "Let's Stay Together" at a New York fundraising event. The brief performance caused a spike in sales of the Green hit.
There was no encore. Obama says he "took a chance at the Apollo" Theater and but didn't want "to take a chance again."
The president said "after re-election" he might go on tour with Green and "be his opening act." But he says he doesn't want to lose any votes now because of his singing voice.
