Samantha Prahalis hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 41 seconds left, giving No. 10 Ohio State the boost it needed to hold off No. 16 Purdue 80-71 Sunday, turning the Big Ten race into a four-team logjam.
Prahalis scored 26 points with Amber Stokes adding 14, Ashley Adams 13 and conference scoring leader Tayler Hill 12. The Buckeyes finished with a 7-0 run.
Ohio State (22-3, 9-3) finds itself tied with Purdue, Penn State and Nebraska - all with three losses in the Big Ten.
Brittany Rayburn had 22 points and Sam Ostarello 12 for the Boilermakers (19-6, 9-3).
With the Buckeyes hanging on to a two-point lead, Prahalis' 3 gave them some breathing room and touched off the late uprising.
