DECATUR COUNTY -
Eyewitness News has confirmed that a school bus that went off the roadway and into the median overnight was from Roncalli High School.
The crash was one of several reported along a short stretch of I-74 in Decatur County early Saturday morning.
According to an e-mail sent to Eyewitness News from Roncalli Principal Chuck Weisenbach, "It was an RHS bus on its way back from a Ski Club outing at Perfect North Slopes. All students and the driver are okay. Reports are from the crash site that high winds knocked it off the road in addition to a couple of other vehicles."
There had been two injuries reported in the crash, though police later confirmed at least one of them was minor.
A bridge over the Flat Rock River appeared to be iced over, which may have contributed to some of the accidents near the scene.
